  • At what age can my child begin training?
At Trinity Martial Arts, children can start training at age three in our Little Ninjas Program. This program is created with little ones in mind, focusing on learning Karate basics, character development, and gaining listening skills. We also have a great children's martial arts program for students ages five through twelve, and a teen and adult program for students age thirteen and beyond!
  • Are your instructors certified?
All of our instructors are trained and certified under the Pan Am Tang Soo Do Federation, an internationally recognized federation that helps ensure we are teaching the highest level of quality martial arts in our classes. Our instructors meet quarterly for staff trainings to ensure we are providing the highest level of instruction, precaution, and care from instructor to student.
  • What style of Martial Arts do you teach?
At Trinity Martial Arts, we pride ourselves on being a perfect blend of sport karate, traditional martial arts, and practical self-defense. That being said, our approach to teaching these subjects is rooted in Tang Soo Do, a traditional Korean style.
  • What are the prices of your program?
We offer a variety of programs and specials to meet every family's budget. We strive to be affordable and simple in our pricing, with no color belt test fees, no hidden fees, a sibling discount, and unlimited training included in every program. That being said, we are confident that we are the most affordable program in Dutchess County that offers classes 6 days a week with unlimited training and no other fees. Contact us today if you're interested in hearing more about our pricing and programs offered.
  • My child has a disability. Is your school equipped to teach them?
Absolutely! Our owner and head instructor, Master Matthew Eyler, was a NYS certified special eduction teacher for 10 years before opening Trinity Martial Arts in the Fall of 2020. We would love to chat with you about your child, their needs, and what we can do to make sure their experience training is a successful and positive one!
  • How often should my child be training?
While all our program options allow for unlimited training and classes are offered 6 days a week, we recommend that students attend class at least 2-3x per week in order to make steady progress toward their goals. That being said, we do understand that every family's schedule is a little different and have many students who attend only 1-2x per week. On the other hand, we have many students who are training 5-6x a week. We welcome all of these students and their families and do our best to tailor their training to fit their attendance.
  • What if my child or I have no martial arts experience?
No worries! Everyone was a beginner at some point! We welcome students of any age, experience level, and ability. Our instructors are trained to work with every student to meet their goals and needs.
  • Where are you located?
Located in Hopewell Junction in the Heritage Square Plaza, we are conveniently right off of the Taconic, making martial arts training accessible for our families in Hopewell, Lagrange, East Fishkill, Beekman, Pleasant Valley, Fishkill, Poughquag, Wappingers Falls, Beacon, and even Newburgh.
